Pronunciation Guide

 

We are using the common ecclesiastical Latin (Italianate) pronunciation since this is the pronunciation most widely used when singing Latin.  It differs significantly from how St. Ambrose and St. Augustine would have pronounced the text.  Here is an MP3 file of the text being read:

What we sound like so far…

 

Here are some excerpts from the first rehearsal with the organ.  If you don’t have good speakers on your computer, listen with headphones.  My cheap microphones have a bad resonance around bass G or Ab that makes the bass sound very boomy in places.  They also don’t pick up the glorious 32-ft pedal stop entry in excerpt 4.
